I grew up primarily in Corvallis, but I lived and worked in other Oregon communities and several other states. I worked as a pharmacist in a variety of practice settings, arriving in Silverton as a result of job offers in the Salem area.
Now I spend my time reading, gardening, and volunteering for several organizations.
On Sundays, I often had breakfast with several people organizing the new Silverton Senior Center, so I became involved, too. The Center continues to provide a way to participate in the community and form friendships.
I serve as secretary of the Board and chair of the Safety Committee. I also represent the Center at Silverton's Emergency Management Advisory Committee, and at Silverton Together.
In my time on the board, I hope to encourage activities and services members want, and to be responsible with available resources.
